About Nokia Al-Saudia Training Centre

A catalogue that kept growing

The Training Centre is a division of Nokia Al-Saudia, a regional telecommunications service provider established in 2000. It delivers professional education across telecom, IT, AI, cybersecurity, management and safety, to individual professionals and to corporate and government organizations.

  • 10,000+ learners across telecom, AI, cybersecurity and safety

  • Telecom programs from 5G and RAN optimization to VoLTE and NB-IoT

  • Onsite, online, virtual and self-study delivery formats

  • Accredited partner content alongside the centre's own programs

Client testimonial image
Our catalogue grew faster than the systems behind it. Registrations, payments, and certificates were all handled by hand. The portal carries that work now, and the admin team spends its time on training.

Problem
The Challenge

Each New Course Added More Admin Work

The website could display a growing catalogue, but much of the work behind each course still depended on staff.

Registrations had to be coordinated, payments checked, certificates reviewed after completion, corporate requests handled separately, and reporting assembled from different records. As the number of programs and delivery formats increased, the administrative workload grew with them.

Key Challenges
  • 01

Course categories difficult to manage across training domains

  • 02

No clear path between onsite, virtual and self-paced formats

  • 03

Manual certificate checks after each course completion

  • 04

No dedicated request path for corporate training

  • 05

Limited admin visibility into enrollment, progress and certificates

The catalogue was growing faster than the processes used to manage it.

Solution
Our Solution

A Training Portal That Handles the Work Behind the Course

The site now covers discovery, enrollment, payment, certification, corporate programs and reporting, for individual learners and organizations alike.

Course Catalogue Management

Programs from 5G and RAN optimization to Agile and Six Sigma, editable through the CMS.

~45% less course update effort.

Enrollment and Mada Payment

Individual, corporate, virtual and onsite registration with Mada payment inside the same flow.

~68% faster course enrollment.

Certificate Tracking

Certificate status tied to course completion across technical, Agile, Six Sigma and safety programs.

~50% less manual certificate processing.

Corporate Training Requests

Needs analysis, content customization, trainer preparation, coaching and follow-up for enterprise and government programs.

Faster response to corporate training enquiries.

Admin Dashboards

Enrollment, learner progress, certificate status, trainer activity and format usage on a single screen.

~40% lower admin workload.
Engineering Approach

Course Completion Now Drives Certificate Status

Course pages, registrations, payments and certificates were separate pieces of work held together by people. A course delivered as a live virtual session with quizzes and a practical project produced records in four places.

Laravel Blade and MySQL now carry course records, enrollments, payments and certificate status together, so completion updates certificate state and nobody checks it by hand. Mada is connected at the registration step. The CMS lets admins edit course pages, media and partner content without a developer.

Impact
The Impact

Routine work moved off the admin team

The portal now serves 10,000+ learners, with enrollment ~68% faster, certificate processing ~50% lighter, and admin workload down ~40%.

What changed, before and after the engagement

Our Engagement

Why Nokia Al-Saudia Partnered With TechnBrains

Nokia Al-Saudia Training Centre retained ownership of its training programs and product direction while adding the Laravel capacity needed to keep developing the portal.

A TechnBrains team of three to five specialists supported the engagement for approximately one year across enrollment, learner dashboards, certificate management, CMS updates, reporting, payment flows, frontend work, QA, and project coordination.

The engagement provided continued delivery capacity on the existing PHP and Laravel stack as the catalogue and training operation expanded.

Business Outcomes
  • 10,000+ learners supported
  • ~68% faster course enrollment
  • ~50% less certificate processing
  • ~40% lower admin workload

Certificate processing used to start after the course ended. Now completion status already tells the system what should happen next. Across a catalogue this size, removing that repeated check takes a meaningful amount of work off the admin team.
